End Of An Era

News broke yesterday that the Indianapolis Colts will not be re-signing Peyton Manning. Manning was due 28 mil on March 8th if the Colts would've decided to keep him. Instead, Colts' owner Jim Irsay decided it made more sense to part ways with the future Hall Of Fame'er. Peyton Manning missed all of last season with a neck injury that required four surgeries. The Colts had a 2-14 record which gave them the number one pick in this year's up coming draft. Rather than taking a gamble on the possibly unhealthy Manning (looks healthy to me...) the Colts will rebuild through the draft. The consensus number one pick is Stanford QB, Andrew Luck. The Colts will began a new era with Luck and say goodbye to Manning. Peyton Manning has meant so much to this franchise and to the city. Manning was the 1st pick in the 1998 NFL draft. He went on to win Rookie of The Year in '98. He has won 4 MVPs and started 208 straight regular season games for the Colts. Manning led the Colts to two Super Bowls, winning one in 2005. Now that we know Manning will not be a Colt, let the Manning sweepstakes begin! There are a few teams that need a QB: Redskins, Dolphins and possibly the Jets are a few of the teams interested in Peyton. A team I would love to see Manning play for is the Arizona Cardinals. He could easily take over the division and plus he'll get to throw passes to the best WR in the game, Larry Fitzgerald. I hope that happens. I think that would be the perfect fit for Peyton.

Deron Williams Drops 57 On The Bobcats

Deron Williams scores, a career high and NBA Season high, 57 points against the Bobcats. Even though it was against the 4-31 Bobcats, 57 is still impressive

Rondo Gets Historic Triple-Double in OT win Against Knicks

Rondo messed around a got a triple-double! Bet the Celts' keep him now! 18 points 17 rebounds and 20 assist?! Ridiculous!

Players Receiving Money For Injuring Opposing Players

Defensive Coordinator, Gregg Williams has admitted to overseeing a "Bounty System" that rewarded players for injuries inflicted on opposing players while he was the defensive coordinator for the Saints. This is against NFL rules but many players and former players are saying that this goes on every team and has been going on for years. Gregg Williams rewarded players for "knock outs" and "cart-offs" which in my opinion is the ugliest part of the game. There is nothing worse than seeing a player laying on the field motionless after a big hit. It is disgusting to me that players are getting $1,500 rewards for that. Many former players and current players have taken to twitter and ESPN to voice their opinions. The sad thing to me is that a lot of them are defending this. Maybe they have taken too many shots to the head, but I can't see how anyone can defend receiving money for possibly ending another player's career. Gregg Williams is meeting with league officials today. I'm sure major penalties will be handed out by Commissioner Goodell.

Best LeBron Commercial

So this is why he won't take the last shot....I get it now! lol

Josh Smith Puts "IBlocka" on a Poster

This was better than Blake Griffin's dunk on Perkins...yup! I said it!

Why Won't He Take The Last Shot?!

Its the same old story. Last seconds of the game. Lebron has the ball. 3...2...1...pass? Why won't LeBron shoot the last shot? For the second time in a week, Lebron tries to make a play instead of taking the last shot to win the game. The Miami Heat lost 99-98 to the Utah Jazz on Friday. LeBron James was hot! Burring a number of difficult shots. It looked like LeBron was going to close the game, but in the last seconds of the game, he passes the ball to Udonis Haslem on a pick-n-roll? Haslem takes the last shot and of course he missed. James did the same thing in the All-Star game. He brought the East all the way back just to turn the ball over in the last seconds of the game. Unlike other times he's passed instead of shooting, James actually showed some frustration over his choice through twitter. LeBron tweeted "Man I have a really sick feeling in my stomach right now! Really wanted tonight's game. I just had to make one more dang play out there" (Yea he really said dang lol) But, maybe LeBron has finally learned his lesson. Unless Wade or Bosh is wide open, just shoot LeBron. The shot never taken is always a miss.
